32 Light Street's entrance |
32 Light Street is the name of the restaurant as well as the address. It is located at the junction of Green Hall (road) and after Convent Light Street. Carparks are located along Green Hall.
We went to this place for our late dinner. Initially, we thought they were closed as it was empty. Well, the waitress welcomed us in and informed us that they were still opened although it was nine p.m. plus.

The local coffee shop look but classier |
It had the touch of a local coffee shop with marble tables and stools. However, it was classier than the normal coffee shop. It had a nice ambience and decor too.

Upon receiving the menu, we learned that they had a slightly different menu for lunch and dinner. They were serving mostly Italian pastas for dinner. On the other hand, they served mostly Chinese food like noodle soup and rice sets for lunch. We were recommended pastas. So, we ordered a salmon spaghetti (fettuccine was out of stock) and a spaghetti pollo. We also tried their freshly blended passion fruit and cucumber juice.

Salmon spaghetti (RM 16.80) |
|
Spaghetti pollo (chicken) (RM 13.80) |
Their pastas tasted authentic with Italian herbs and spices. Although both plates of spaghetti looked the same, they tasted differently. They were delicious in their own way. The pieces of salmon were a lot too. The spaghetti pollo had a generous amount of chicken flesh in it. We thought the portion was a little small but we were wrong. We were very full when we finished our dinner.

Passion fruit and cucumber juice and two sky juice (plain water) |

The thick and juicy passion fruit and cucumber juice
for only RM 6.90 |
The passion fruit and cucumber juice was refreshing and not too sweet. In short, we love this place very much.

Red decor during Chinese New Year was still put up in this place when we visited them recently. After trying spaghetti at so many restaurants, this place still remains our favourite when our spaghetti urge strikes. Their spaghetti sauce was simply delicious and there were about ten types of spaghetti in their dinner menu. We usually dine here at night and there are fewer customers. So, we get to enjoy their quiet environment.
One thing that bothered me was the cooking oil smell lingering in the air. I believe that their kitchen did not have a good exhaust system. Although it was not a very strong smell, our clothes and hair would have that smell. However, that did not stop us from satisfying our craving for their authentic Italian spaghetti.

The recent one that we had tried was their Spaghetti Gumbo. It was served with four large king prawns! Did I mention that there was no service charge or government tax here? So, enjoy your dinner here.
