Kampung Changkat and Firefly Jetty

Changkat Village
A wooden house in Changkat Village next to a vegetable farm
After driving back from Byram Estate, we turned left and reached Kampung Changkat (Changkat Village). Our purpose was to view vegetable farms. Indeed, we saw some small farms along the main road of the village. We also saw the farmer/owner was carrying pails and watering the vegetables. The rows of vegetables in the farm was captivating.

The wooden houses were a beautiful sight to our camera lens. At one point when I looked at my photos, I forgot that this was in Penang, Malaysia. It looked like some old farmhouses overseas.

Do you see a face at the wooden house? (Or am I too imaginative?)

We saw mostly Chinese dwelling in this village. There was a festival going on at that point of time at a Chinese temple. There was a crowd and we saw opera actors offering prayers at the temple. This was done usually before the opera show began.

Next, we took a spin around the Nibong Tebal famous firefly jetty and got some good shots of the jetty area. We did not go for firefly watching as we had been on the trip at Kuala Selangor jetty a few years ago.
